October 25, 2024: The Oilers crushed the Penguins 4-0 in Edmonton, with a mix of skill and nostalgia as Pittsburgh’s aging stars—Crosby, Malkin, Letang, and Karlsson—tried to keep pace. Meanwhile, Stuart Skinner held it down in net, rocking this royal blue jersey crafted for Hall of Fame Night.

This was the first season the Oilers donned the Play Alberta sponsorship patch, adding a little commercial flair to their iconic look. The night wasn’t short on milestones either—Zach Hyman hit his 400th career point (spoiler alert: his jersey wasn’t exactly in my budget).

Skinner’s jersey, a size 58 goalie cut, has been photo-matched from multiple angles, with some wear reflecting one solid game of action. The inside is tagged with the official “Edmonton Oilers, Hall of Fame Night, Oct 25, 2024 vs Pittsburgh Penguins” label, featuring Jeff Lang’s facsimile signature and the Game-Worn Jersey Inventory tag (#C00218).

This jersey is a snapshot of Oilers history: honoring legends, celebrating milestones, and Skinner holding it down in a shutout performance.

On a personal note, this is my first goalie gamer, and it wasn’t even my original target during the auction. I was bidding on a few jerseys that night and didn’t expect to land this one—but honestly, I’m not disappointed at all. It’s a great piece of history from an unforgettable game, and it’s got a little extra meaning knowing the proceeds went to charity.

Photo Matching

While the commemorative Hall of Fame patch worn during the October 25, 2024 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins is an obvious identifier, this jersey has also been photo-matched through specific game wear.
