This is one of those jerseys that hits differently—an authentic, first-generation Adidas Adizero game-worn jersey from the 2019-20 season. It’s white (the away jersey, of course) with that unmistakable Edmonton Oilers blue and orange. This is Set 2 and the alternate captain’s “A” has been removed.

The 2019-20 season was memorable for a lot of reasons, not all of them good (thanks, pandemic). Through it all, Klefbom was a workhorse for the Oilers, logging over 25 minutes of ice time per game and quarterbacking the power play with the calm confidence fans loved him for. He racked up more than 30 points that season, proving once again why he was such a key part of the team.

For me, this jersey is extra special because it belonged to Oscar Klefbom, my favorite player from that era. Sadly, this was Klefbom’s last season in the NHL. His career was cut way too short by injuries, which is still tough to think about. Seven seasons with the Oilers doesn’t feel like enough, but in that time, he left a lasting impression on the team and its fans.

This jersey comes with all the paperwork: a Letter of Authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, authenticated by Meigray. I picked it up online through the Oilers’ Ice District website.
